when a country has the favour of the gods, what does that mean and what does it do?

There are certain missions like the Fissure of Woe, and the Underworld that can only be accessed when your country's server has favor. Also its a little known fact, but if you kneel infront of a statue in an explorable area (when your server has favor...they glow) you can get things like a moral boost and other bonuses for gold.
